Thoughts on a Tuesday
- I’ve decided that I will be taking the GRE. One of my career interests lies in teaching. Having said that, I think I should probably take the GRE (among other tests) in order to apply to a master’s program for teaching. Truth be told, I’ve been vacillating between different options in terms of what degree to pursue in grad school. I admit that I’ve been guilty of being indecisive. And unmotivated. And fickle. And consequently, stagnant. Here’s hoping that this test will be an impetus for change and get me off my ass.
- As of the end of this calendar year, I will no longer be employed in the nonprofit world. I’d be lying if I said that this makes me sad. It’s honorable work, but just not for me. Let the countdown to my resignation commence, shall we?
- The last third of 2009 is quickly approaching. You know what that means? That means that the holidays are right around the corner. Call me crazy, but I thrive off of this fact. 129 days until Christmas. Yes, I counted. Believe it.
- I just stuffed my face with some mocha bread that I got from this new cafe/bakery. It was pretty phenomenal. If coffee, tea, cake, and bread appeal to you, pay this place a visit. Diamond Jamboree Plaza. Irvine.
- I generally prefer things to be neat and clean and orderly, but not gonna lie - my room is currently an utter mess in desperate need of a makeover. I seriously want to toss everything and start from scratch.
- I’ve watched six movies at the theatres in the past two and a half weeks. That’s a new record for me. The only one worth mentioning: G.I. Joe. Go ahead and scoff.
- Back in May when I was still 21 years young, I was told that as soon as I turn 22, it would all be downhill from there. This has sadly shown to be somewhat accurate. For one, I’ve been stripped of my ability to drink (long story short: on the Fourth of July I went to war with what felt like every kind of alcohol under the sun and lost miserably). And let’s face it, there’s only so much fun to be had when you aren’t a little tipsy.
